Custom Faceting - Lapidary

A facination with minerals, their characteristics, and localities, led to my meeting Ed Walden of Portland, Connecticut in 1986.

A sign on the wall of the barn, by the gate to the road, leading to the mine he had worked over the years read, "We Teach Lapidary".

That sign, and an agreeable old New England Master in Lapidary, led to a long friendship, and lessons in the art of faceting a gemstone to exacting demands, and of the extraordinary facet designs used in creating exceptional results in gem finishing.
